Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, vanilla, whisky in the aroma. Soft roast and licorice. Malty sweet flavor with licorice, caramel, vanilla and whisky. Slightly alcoholic, but fairly well balanced. The barrel aging softens this beer.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small, creamy, fading, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, nutty and dark malty aroma, notes of toffee, nougart, hints of milk chocolate, calvados-like BA overtones with a fruity touch of apple. Taste is slightly chocolately, slightly roasty and nutty dark malty, hints of nougat, toffee, milk chocolate, slightly dry Whisky BA notes come close to apple and Calvados, hints of oak. Creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate. Didn't have the non-BA version yet - hard to assign the toffee and nougat flavours to malty or BA influences. The Tauchers-Calvados proximity seems to be established.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of fruity whisky, chocolate, coffee, licorice, oak and molasses. Taste has bitter chocolate, caramel, licorice, molasses, fruity whisky booze, molasses and some coffee. Nice, but I expected the flavors to be more outspoken.
