Brewed in solidarity with the people of the Ukraine, this strong, sweet and oaty anti-imperial stout is a recipe developed by Ukrainian brewers and brewed together by Northumberland breweries. Brewed with Northumberland grown organic beetroot for that Ukrainian twist! 100% of the profits from this beer go to the Red Cross Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine.

This beer has been brewed by 8 Northumberland breweries with the generous support of; Thomas Fawcett & Sons Maltsters, Northern Design Ltd, Niche Solutions, NE Organic Growers, Command Print, Jason Friend Photography, Northumberland Pantry, Bird in Bush (Elsdon) & Cumbria Contact Bottling.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Black brown colour, small beige foam head and aroma of roast malt, chocolate, coffee, earthy. Taste is roasty malt, ashy, chocolate, coffee, dried fruit, with nutty earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted butter finish. Nicely drinkable.

3/8/2023. Can from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is ashy, earthy, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits, toffee. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness with a slight tart edge. Medium body, oily and creamy, bit above average carbonation. Fruity chocolate roasted finish with hints of the cooked beetroot maybe. Good beer. Bad war.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown to black. Tan head. Nose - earthy and creamy chocolate. Taste - creamy and earthy chocolate light roast. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Roast finish. Overall - good.

Can from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours clear dark purple-tinged brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light liquorice and tar. Taste is light earthy, liquorice and tar again. Chewy finish.
