Bottle (as Vrå Ingstrup Mejeri - Red Ale). Amber colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is toasted malts, rubber and quite strong herbal tones. Flavour is herbal, toasted and mild sweet malty tones. Mild burnt rubbery tones in the flavour too. Kind of nice things blending with not so-nice things. Well, onto the next...

On tap at the brewpub. An orange-brown beer with a dense finger thick off-white head. Malt driven aroma, bread and toffee, with some dark dried fruit. Some roasted hints too. It's full bodied and quite dry on the palate, nicely carbonated, with a light bitterness. Roasted malt notes in the flavor, as on the nose toffee and bread dominates. Quite dry and bitter finish. Nice, but as for several of the other beers from Vrå, a bit different. But as long as it works that's just fine. 230805
