Wilder’s Folly is brewed to be a great example of this classic British beer style. Teaming up with our pals at Double Barrelled, we wanted to brew something timeless and full of flavour. Deep red in colour, this ruby mild brings big fruit aromas full of gorgeous plum and blackcurrant. Hints of floral English hops bring a balance to the palate, along with a light toastiness and caramel nuances.

Hops: Ernest & WGV
Malt: LCMO, Crystal, Caramalt, Wheat & Chocolate

11th December 2023 Can. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, decent fine carbonation. Earthy dark malts, trace of dark chocolate and mild coffee, these are offset by a very light creamy sweetness. Some ripe fruits coming through on the back end and smooth and semi dry finish that has all the flavours coming together well. Well it ain't very ruby in appearance is it? But who cares? A really nicely layered mild and surprisingly for Thornbridge, a fairly strong one. Harmonious and drinkable. I could happily session this. Good show!
