Bottle. A rather minimalistic light tan head forms over a dark brown to black body. Quite oily pour. The aroma is quite boozy, but not too much, with alcohol, wood, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, vague hints of oxidation, some molasses and licorice, dark dried fruits, tobacco, some leather and a faint herbal note. It's warming, full bodied and sweet on the palate, with a very soft carbonation. Quite bitter too, but still on the sweet side. The flavor is driven by roasted malts and booze, but there's also lots of other things going on. Coffee, molasses and wood, some heavy caramel sauce, with hints of leather, tobacco and something generic herbal-ish. Everlasting finish. A super-delicious one, a sipper well suited for sharing. 200610
