Can from Waitrose as 'Neu Black Lager'. Deep brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of toasty malts and herbal hops. Flavour was sweetish, with some caramel and more toasty malts, before a moderately bitter finish. An ok dark lager.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a very pretty, clear dark brown with a lacing off-white head. Very delicious and delicate aroma hops in the nose. Medium body, soft on the palate, sweet malts and again this slightly spicy note. Very well made. 271217

Hohe Drinkability, Dark Lager passt ganz gut - definitiv kein klassisches Schwarzbier. Feines Ding.

Bottled. Murky brown with an off white head. Light aroma hop touch in the nose, so far so promising, though not revealing too much of its malty base. Taste... light perfumey taste, soft and later on soapy, notes of cardboard, light bitter finish, ending too dry. Nope.

Chestnut colour, medium-sized beige head. Bready harsh aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Active carbonation. Bready some toasted caramel, finish has odd metal notes. Simple dunkel.
