Not only did we throw a mountain of raspberries into this brew, we backed them up with a generous amount of berry forward Mosaic and Barbe Rouge hops! The result is a refreshingly tart, fruit forward sour ale.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver; 5.5% ABV
Cloudy red colour. Strong raspberry character, aroma and flavour; the acidity is sharp but acceptable, the body is lean, the finish is short. Lightly buttery.
Sure, it's a Sour Raspberry beer, no complexity though.

(473ml can from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours opaque dark purplish red with an average pale pink head that fades with a little lace. Aroma is raspberry-loaded, a mix of crushed fresh fruit and some preserves, some creamy yoghurty lacto with a light citrus edge, and some slightly perfumed floral notes and dank hops. Flavour is lots of fresh raspberries crushed into lightly tart yoghurt, some dank leafy hops, soft citrus peels, berry pips, light tannic berry skin. Medium bodied, smooth and a little chewy, with soft carbonation. Really nice fruit-forward Florida weisse-ish thing, not overly complicated but a refreshing brew.
