A bold and indulgent imperial porter brewed with chocolate and a variety of chocolate malts.
Taste: Starts off with a presence of freshly baked goods and decadent chocolate, which is accented by notes of dark bread crust and toasted hazelnuts. The finish is smooth and satisfying, with hints of caramel and roasted malts, leaving a slight lingering bitterness on the palate, tempting you to take another sip.
Appearance: Deep dark brown with a dense chestnut head.
Nose: Filled with dark chocolate notes that mingle with the warm and earthy tones of roasted malts and rye.
Malts: Maris otter, Munich light malt, Rye malt, Chocolate rye malt, Pale chocolate malt, Chocolate dark malt, Carafa special T-2

Svart,uten skum. Aroma av lakris, sjokolade, kaffi. Smak av bær, kaffi, tobakk, lakris. Litt vanilje.

330ml bottle as Juleporter, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Jet black body, tiny tan head, scattered lacing. Nicely roasted dark malty aromas, inviting. Decent malt-forward taste with black chocolate malts, dark bread, liquorice, and a backdrop of dark fruits. Smoothly roasted chocolate malts to the finish. Satisfying Yuletide feel..(Tromsø, 26.12.2024).

Svart med tynt beige skum. Lukter rlstet malt, sjokolade og kaffe. Litt for kald ved skjenking så smakene kommer fram mer etterhvert. Sjokolade og malt. I avslutningen kommer det fram smak av kaffe med melk.

Small sample from 330 ml bottle, as Põhjala Juleporter, at private Christmas beer tasting. Black colour, tan head. Aroma and flavour of medium roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Some sweetness, but not too much.

Som JulePorter: Imperial Chocolate Porter. Kullsort. Høyt luftig mokkafarget skum som daler veldig sakte. Aroma av sjokolade & lakris. Smaken røstet malt. Fortsatt litt sjokolade & lakris. Tørr avslutning. Litt kaffe.

Sample at Billie's Craft Beer Fest, Antwerp 2024-11-08. Black with aroma of roasted malt, rye, bread and biscuit. Medium to very sweet and medium bitter.
