Bottle at home. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, soft liquorice notes, soft malt bitters. Hard to describe but very pleasant. Smooth soft porter. Quite lovely.

Zwart bier met mooie bruine schuimkraag die vrij lang blijft staan. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van chocolade, koffie en wat rook. Heel goed.

21/XI/23 - on tap @ HoReCa Expo 2023 (Gent), BB: n/a (2023-1096) Thanks to Erwin, Peter a.o. for sharing today’s beer!

Clear orange brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, good roast, ripe to overripe banana, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: alcohol up front, pretty bitter, gentle roast, sweet malts, caramel, a bit metallic. Aftertaste: very bitter, a bit metallic, malty, some caramel, yeasty.
