Can from Bierkoning. The kind of black pour that screams "this is gonna be good!". Exquisitely rich aroma with dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate cake, caramel, fudge, syrup, and some light fruity notes. Flavour is sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Full thick body. Wow, this is close to flawless for my taste in Imperial Stout. Rich in chocolate with well-balanced barrel influences, no harshness or off-flavours, mellow smooth balance. Splendid!

Glossy black, unstable head of creamy brown foam. Smells definitely barrel, getting all the parts. Body is a bit thin, but the flavour makes up for it. Nicely bitter, with a ton of barrel flavours. Soft bourbon, slightly peaty scotch, sweet port. Tasty.

Can at home, from Amsterdam, 18th January 2020. Pours a lovely looking slick black oily beer. Aroma is liquorice, tar, liquor, caramel. Taste is bitter dark chocolate, barrel, liquorice, burnt sugar, creme brûlée, sweet and bitter, there is bourbon, vanilla, light peaty whiskey and some sweet port lingering in the background. Complex and delicious, one of the best from this brewery.

Can @ home. Pitch black colour. Brown head with short retention. Aroma's of molasses, fruity alcohol, roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, whisk(e)y, soy sauce. Retronasal it's sweet, fruity, chocolate, dark fruit. Flavour is heavy sweet with some dark fruit and light roasty bitterness. Alcohol warms but is not too sharp. Full bodied. Long finish with fruit, roast. One of their best.

Can. Almost black. Apple syrup and vanilla in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with grapes, porto, Apple syrup, vanilla and soft whisky notes. Apple and whisky finish. Warming alcohol. This is a bit of a mess, I can’t taste any bourbon. But I still like this beer.

Deep dark brown beer, pouring a bit viscously to a 2 secs flat existing russet-coloured head. Alcohol, Bourbon, vanilla, Crème Anglaise, roast, meatroast, sweet molasses; raisins and dried plums. Roast/alcohol/fusels. Flavours of raisins, some vanilla. Finish has burnt bitterness, but main taste is rich, alcoholic-sweet. Voluptuous, creamy texture, but finish thnnish. Alcoholheat, undercarbonated. I get the impression of What will we do with those slops in the kegs?

Can. Black pour. Nice aroma of red fruit, licorice, caramel, vanilla, mild smoke and molasses. Taste has ripe sticky red fruit, caramel, smoke, licorice, vanilla, tannine, malt and somewhat sharp oaky red wine. Nice combination of flavors, but it needs something to put it all together and make it really great. The red wine flavor is also a bit unpleasent. Getting there though.
