Can at Palace Hall 27/04/2024 Malmö April 2024 tasting - dark roasted malty and solid hoppy aroma and taste, some hoppy fruity undertones surfacing, pine needles, cola, medium body, robust hoppy and roasted malty close. The world needs more black IPA’s.

ABV: 6.5%. ★ Clear dark brown colour with a small large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, toasted, dark malt, sweet malt, woody, grapefruit, light licorice, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20240502]

Sample (thanks omhper!). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is dried fruits, some mild toasted tones and some mild herbal tones. Flavour is dried fruits, some herbal and mild toasted and some slight chocolaty tones. Quite pleasant actually.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Black, mid sized head. Aroma of licorice and black currant. Mid sweet with above medium body and clean mouthfeel. Treacle, licorice, pine and black currant. Mid bitter finish.
