Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is sugary banana, brown malts, spicy yeast, caramel. Finishes a bit spicy and sugary. Medium sweet flavour with a light bitterness. Medium body. Pretty tasty.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty and minimally toasty, slightly wheaty malty aroma, notes of treacle, dark honey, a touch of malt lozenge, yeasty fruity overtones with a touch of pear, baked banana. Taste is sweet-ish and minimally toasty, caramel and slightly wheaty malty, hints of malt lozenge, treacle, dark caramel, a yeasty fruity touch of baked banana, pear. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, slightly cloying, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, dense, prickly carbonation. Rather sweet and malty, neither overly yeasty fruity and barely yeasty spicy, almost a bit tacky - not fully convincing.

33cl bottle from Smaakhuis webshop. Poured light amber in color. Ripe banana, marzipan and some warming alcohol. Light spiciness, anis like spiciness mostly. OK.

Bottle shared with Laura. Brown color, beige head. Foamy head disappears quickly. Aroma suggests an abbey double. Flavor leans more towards a bock, and texture is a bit thin. Drinkable.
