Origen del nombre: Apachita es la tradición de colocar montículos de piedra en las zonas más empinadas del camino hacia las montañas. Todavía se considera un gesto de respeto en la actualidad en la cumbre del Cayambe, la montaña por la que pasa la línea ecuatorial.
Origen del estilo: Proviene de Bélgica. Con un estilo denso y cremoso y una espuma duradera, nuestra Wheat Ale cumple con los requisitos tradicionales de su tipo. El trigo representa el 32% del grano utilizado y el sedimento de la levadura realza su sabor.

11/8/2024. Bottle shared by Bruno (with help from DanF & Reuben), cheers! Pours slightly hazy pale orange gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, grainy, malty, caramel, butter, mild spice, yeast, touch of honey, light herb. Quite sweet with light bitterness. Moderate body, smooth, soft carbonation. Quite likeable.

Sample from the share. Quite sweet, almost a bit of a honey flavor. Carbonation didn’t hold in the sample at all but nice flavor. Thanks Bruno V.

33cl bottle pours a murky apricot color with some cloudy, white head Nose has perfume, apricot, corn. Flavor is OK, cheap malt, perfume, a little fruit soda. Sweet finish.

Bottle at the 7/27 DC RateBeer tasting. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat, toast, hay. Tastes of malt, floral, citrus. Light body with a dry finish.

Can at the July DC RB mini-tasting. Poured a very cloudy straw orange color with a small white head. Pretty bland actually - lacking in almost any "wheat" notes at all. I would peg this as more of a blonde or just some generic ale.
