Bottle. A dark brown beer, unclear, with a small light tan head. Roasted malts, molasses, a burnt hint and licorice in the aroma. Hints of coffee and dark rye bread. Some alcohol. It's full-bodied and nicely warming, gently carbonated and semi-sweet, with a gentle bitterness. Roasted malts, brown sugar, dark rye bread, alcohol notes, coffee and dark chocolate in the flavor. Some licorice and molasses. Raisin. Lasting quite dryish finish with lots of delicious dark flavors. Wouldn't mind having this again. 240821

From bottle at MB2 03.05.24. Ebony. Diminishing brown head. Fine aroma and taste of cigar box, tar, brittle and roasted malt. Complex and good!

Svart. Mokkafarget luftig skum som raskt blir film. Lett kaffearoma. Smaken lakris. Tørr kaffe etter hvert. Behagelig lett bitter avslutning. Røstet malt. Av de bedre.

500ml compact bottle, 198, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Pitch black body, beige bubbles on the surface, scattered lacing. Roasted malty aromas, moments of liquorice and dark bread, promising. Well blended malt-driven flavours, liquorice, chocolate, and a bite of prunes. Smooth roasted ending, bittersweet. Well bodied. Enjoyed for a long time on a Saturday eve. (Tromsø 01.10.2022).
