On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. It's close to black in the glass, with a tan to beige head of moderate size. Some curtains. The aroma has licorice and higher alcohols, with caramel, roasted and burnt malts, coffee, soy sauce and dried fruits, and a good whiff of dark sugar. It's full-bodied, warming and smooth, softly carbonated and quite sweet, with lots of alcohol flavor, along with licorice, dark sugar, roasted malts, burnt notes, coffee and dark dried fruits. Lasting warming, alcohol driven finish. There's lots of good stuff going on here, but it's too much on the alcohol side. 171021

Black with a light brown head - Good malt aroma with some dark fruity tones with wood and bourbon aroma - Good malt body with some good wood, vanliia and bourboun flavours - The flavours goes into a long lasting good finish - This was very good and tasty

From tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø, 20.10.17. Very dark brown. Pale brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dates and lemon grass. Excellent taste, with dates, dark chocolate, roasted malt and a slight hint of herbs. Round mouthfeel. The high alcohol is, scaringly enough, not evident.

Nice light brown slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish oaky, bourbon, oak, grass, weeds, unripe banana, bark, sour coffee, hay, minerals, vanilla. Taste is slightly dry boozy, oak, mild bourbon, weeds, hay, minerals grass, bark, unripe banana, toast, sour coffee, harsh vanilla. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen 2017. Pitch black body, clingy lacing, dissipating espresso head. Rich confectionery aroma, mid-sweet. Rich and smooth taste of confectionery chocolate, oak and dark fruits. Prolonged ending. Full body. Velvety mouth feel. Lovely. (Trondheim 03.08.2017).
