Pours dark red without a head. Aroma has notes of honey, red wine, black currant, almond, black berry and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light sour with a long warm, vineous, black currant, light tart and berry finish. Body is full, texture is oily, flat to no carbonation.

Solsletta Nyttårsaften 2022. Deep red color with no head. Aroma is honey, berries. Flavor is honey, berries, black berries, black current, raspberries, cherries, alcohol, bourbon, spices, almond. Very nice mead.

Bottle. A clear deep red mead, still and headless. Quite oily. The aroma has loads and loads of berries, with alcohol, honey, oak, spiced and herbal hints and a touch of coffee and almond. Red wine-ish. It's full-bodied, warming and oily on the palate, with a surprising amount of almond in the flavor. Sugary, honeyish, with blackcurrant, blackberries, some raspberry and blueberry, a good dash of honey and some spiced, herbal notes. Floral. Herbal. Sweet. Everlasting finish with berries, warming and full-bodied, with lots of berry flavors. Intense, delicious and moreish, still best served to more than one person. 221231
