La Salamandre, the original BFM, wheat beer, fresh and spicy. Brewed with wheat- and barley malt, La Salamandre is a beer with a bloomy and tangy bouquet. On the palate, the subtle hints of yeast render the beer creamy with a tad o’ tartness, which is typical for wheat beers. The finish is hardly bitter, but racy, with a taste of bitter orange zest and discrete hops.

330ml swing-top bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes in Tromsø. Near-clear, yellow-gold coloured body. A solid wheat haze to the last pour. Faint pearl white head. Bread, coriander and grass on the nose. Quite well mixed wit taste of peach, lemon, orange, wheat, and coriander. Bittersweet tail. Medium bodied. Refreshing (08.06.2014).

Hazy, white head. Has the aroma that I would expect from a Belgian White - coriander, some orange peels and strong wheat character. Taste corresponds to that as well. Body is quite light, very drinkable indeed. Maybe not amazing but still a great starter for the evening.

Hazy white cream color. With creamy white head. The nose has a bit of rotten eggs, a touch of smoke, but not much fruitiness. Light body, smooth, refreshing. Easy drinking. Lacking some of the spices I like but still decent brew.

33cl swing top bottle from AndrewC. It’s a funky Belgian Wit. Hazy gold amber with lasting white head. Almost saison on the aroma. Dry almost biscuit in the mouth. Hoppy citrus on the finish. Funny I’d call this a saison. Hoppy bite on the finish. Good orange fruit lasting finish. Likeable.
