Brownish black with a short tan head. Aroma of vanilla malt. Thick chocolate vanilla, creamy texture, vanilla, hint of coconut, lovely.

can, hoptimaal deluxe calendar #17 very dark brown, small brown head that go away rather quickly One of those imp stouts where the aroma sort of closes in on itself and is not very strong or noticable. nuts , licorice, roasted malts, brown sugar, nice bitter but not herbal bitter hint from hops. A very lovely imp stout aroma, unfortunately a lot weaker than most, so you have to work real hard to enjoy it. Strongest notes are licorice and roasted malts. Flavor is white sugar and vanilla sweet. way way too sweet, some really cool and quite sold roasted malts tries to build up a balance, but the beer is unfortunately far gone into sugar-vanilla land, so that fails. Beer comes off as unbalanced and the sugar-vanilla thing does not come off as high quality sugar or vanilla, just genric vanilla sweetness. End result is an experience somewhere between boring and weird. could be a sipping beer, but it is also watery and lacks body (and perhaps chocolate) compared to other great pastry stouts.

Medium body, low viscosity. Boozy, sweet, roasty, cocoa powder and vanillin, some light roast filter coffee. A bit thin in body and flavor, but not bad.

Draft, taster. @Mash Beer Festival 2023, Barcelona (Spain) 28/10/2023 [#6.889 Global - #161 Ireland - #31 Whiplash] Pours pitch black with a minimal head. Aroma: roasted malts, toffee, madamian nuts and burnt chocolate. Taste: nuts, toffee, strong alochol. Oily mouthfeel. Next one please!

Dark brown to black, small head. Boozy, alcohol, roasty aroma. Full body, smooth, soft carbonation. Sweet, not too sweet. Caramely, toasty, malty flavour, dark caramel, toffee. Strong. Chewy. Light finish. Went down quite easy in the end.

Canned 440ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Pitch black coloured, minimal head, chocolate and caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, light roasted, notes of chocolate and caramel with noticable alcohol. Boozy finish also.
