Draught @ Fischer Brau, Vienna, Austria. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, light bread, yeast, hay. Flavor is light sweet, malty, yeast, bread, hay. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. 120816

Oct. ’14. On tap at the brewpub. It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head. Quite decent bread/grainy and sharp herbal aroma. Fine, lightly bitter flavor, herbal hops were really nice along with chalky yeast and tasty bread and biscuit malt, even lightly sweet later on. Medium, even full in body for the style. Nice, long and pleasant finish, well balanced with both sweetness and bitterness lasted long. One of the better regional brewpub helles.

Fra fat på Cardinaltreff okt-13: svak, lett syrlig blomsterduft. Kort smak og ettersmak. En ren men svært enkel start på kvelden. Iflg. Andreas er Helles den nest kjedeligste ølstilen i Tyskland, barre Kölsch er kjedeligere.

Das klassische Hausbier 🏡, das sich über die Jahre bewährt hat. Es ist sehr süffig 🌊 und hat schöne getreidige Aromen und einen brotigen 🍞 Kern. Aromatisch ist es eher fad, passt aber gut zum Essen 🍗. Sicher besser und voller als jedes Industriebier, aber verglichen mit anderen Wirtshausbieren (z.B. Wieden Bräu) eher weniger.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild malty and subdued hoppy. Subtle bitterness. Lingering fruity and malty finish. Vague bitterness again.

Draught at the brewpub. A fine cloudy zwickl, amazingly malty and with a wonderful fresh taste. Hearty and rich, with bananas and spices. A great, rich beer that is just too easy to drink. The body is light but not too light. The great amount of yeast adds a full flavor. It has a bit of honey-like sweetness, and also a fruity flavor. It is not very strongly hopped, but it is well balanced. This is really nice stuff.

Cloudy golden coloured, small white head that went away fast. Almost the same as Brigitta Helles I’ve had the day before. Hoppy, light grainy and bready taste with notes of honey in the finish. Average one.

Draught at the brewpub. Good malty flavour. Sweetish with a hint of bread. Good bready aftertaste. Cloudy golden colour. Small stable white head. Low bitterness. Pleasant.

Golden colour, slightly hazy, small head. Dry, creamy and mild. Lightly grassy with a touch of herbal spices. Soft and vital mouthfeel. Low bitterness.
