Klare, goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Ausgewogen hopfiger, malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht fruchtig, Honig, zum Abgang hin zunehmend hopfiger. Mittlere bis hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

golden good carbonation. Malty, full bodied mouth but fairly mainstream accent. Not very interesting.

bottle at home. golden clear, shiny color, small white head. smells sweet, malty, honey, light dried fruits. full body, taste of honey, sweet, light alcoholic, light flowery, light bitter sweet finish.

50cl bottle at Krah Krah in Vienna. Pours a slightly hazy gold with some creamy white head. Nose of over ripe fruit, soggy white bread, a little wet trash, some booze. Flavor is overly sweet, candy, tropical fruit, a little rotting apple skin. Sticky finish. All over the place.

Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma cereal, fruit, citrus, grass and a touch of alcohol.

Das letzte bekannte österreichische Bockbier bzw. mein letztes Zwettlerbier aus dem Standard-Sortiment, das ich damals bewertete... Es ist ein verdammt bitteres Bier wie schon das klassische Zwettler, aber dieses ist wirklich hart zu trinken. Es mag einige Waldviertler Bauern geben, denen sowas gefällt, aber mir ist es zu bitter und zu plump.

Relativ süßer Antrunk mit nur leicht ausgeprägten bockigen Elementen. Die Süße bleibt weiter vorhanden, das Bier wird im Hintergrund wenig säuerlich, gleichauf ist auch die unterentwickelte Würzigkeit. Alkoholisch, im Abgang herber. Kein besonders ausgereifter Bock.

Bottle, 0,5l, from supermarket in Hainburg, Austria. Golden color with small white head. Yeasty aroma. Taste starts grainy, continues with strong alcohol feeling, strong, long bitter finish. Drinkable beer.

Bottle in Vienna. A deep golden color with a thick head. Not blonde, but dark yellow. Rich malt aroma, slightly sweet smelling. Rather heavy body, with a rich malt flavor and a bit of sweetness. You can taste the strength a little as well. Slightly sweeter than some of the others, but a very good balance and a long-lasting hop aftertaste. Sweet on the front end, bitter on the back end. It is a very nice, excellently balanced beer.
