Bottle in Vienna. A deep golden color with a thick head. Not blonde, but dark yellow. Rich malt aroma, slightly sweet smelling. Rather heavy body, with a rich malt flavor and a bit of sweetness. You can taste the strength a little as well. Slightly sweeter than some of the others, but a very good balance and a long-lasting hop aftertaste. Sweet on the front end, bitter on the back end. It is a very nice, excellently balanced beer.

Bottled(500ml). -Golden coloured, medium sized white head, light malty bready nose. Light and not too much better version of Oettinger Super Forte that I’ve tried 20 minutes before Festbock. Sweet malty, bready and mild alcoholic with notes of grain in the finish. One-dimensional.

0,5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who found it in Wien(thanks!) Poured a golden body with a medium-big fluffy white head that went away relatively slow. Light malty nose, some eggs and dust. Sweet malty taste, grainy, corn?... not much alcohol, some egg, kind fruity maybe. Very light dust. Drinkable but... basically an ESL with a fancy name. One dimensional.

Bottled at Krah Krah, Vienna. Clear golden, rich creamy head. Fruity papery nose. Sweet and medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Creamy and low on hpos, but with warming alcohol. The sweet malt battles to balance the alcohol out, and it feels more like a 8-9% Polish mocne it some senses.

Bottle, 6.8%. Weak malty aroma, mostly grainy. Clear dark golden colour, small fizzy head. The flavour does have some malt and sweetness, but also some quite harsh hop and alcohol notes. A little spicy vegetable in the finish that I do not like. Quite boozy, but better than ESL.

Bottle (@Krah-Krah, Wien): Golden, visible carbonation, stable, creamy off-white head; deep, not sweet, but bready-malty nose with a great dash of aromatic hops; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet-bready and almost lingering hoppy finish. a good, well quaffable Bock...........

500ml bottle from Spar Gourmet, Lange Gasse, Wien. Poured a clear golden body with a filmy layer. Grassy aroma. Very sweet fruity flavour followed by light acidic hops, but still too sweet (first beer during a pre-Christmas trip to Vienna - at the hotel 29.11.2007).
