Bottle split at the RBESG ’15 Grand Tasting, Taphouse CPH day 4, 23/08/15. Pitch black with a dirty tan head ... A real looker of an impy! Nose is roast malt, Chocolate fudge, molasses, light spice, milk chocolate. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, chocolate fudge, toffee, light charr. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent impy, well rounded.

@ Gents bierfestival 2015. Dark brown/black colour, dark brown foam. Roasty notes of coffee and ashes. Light sour touch. Good, not outstanding.

22/08/2015 – sample (bottle) @ Gents Bierfestival shared with JorisPPattyn, Sebletitje, 77ships & PriorL Black with dark head. Roast, licorice... Too bitter roasted for me.

Sampled @ Gents Bierfestival 2015 Das Bier ist schwarz und hat eine cremige mittelgroße bräunliche Schaumkrone. Der Geruch ist sehr schokoladig, Vanille. Geschmack nach viel Vanille, Karamell, Schokolade, gut!

Again an earthy, farmyard background aroma from this brewery. This time more subtle though. There’s an abundance of dark, roasted malts. It’s bittersweet with cocoa in the finish. Thick and oily.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of smoke, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and a bit of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, coffee, and a bit of smoke leading to a dry roasted finish.

Sample @ 6de Gents Bierfestival 2015. Noire foncée, col crémeux moka, le tout laissant un filament doré au verre. Arôme est fruité rouge, malt en rétro apportant un caractère caramel, et finement chocolaté. Palais est malté renforcé avec un profil s’apparentant presque à une bière de Alvinne dans le côté fruité rouge légèrement aigrelet. Effervescence est moyenne, pour une certaine épaisseur en fin de bouche. Correcte en s’éloignant de ce que j’ai pu gouté précédemment niveau IRS tchèques.

Deutlich malzig röstig bitterer Antrunk. Intensive Schokoladennoten, weich. Die Bitterkeit steigt zum Ende während die Malzigkeit sinkt, würzig, ausgewogen. 11/11/11/11//11
