Bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, and yeast, with touches of dried fruit. Bitter, roasty and nutty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and yeast, and mild fruity touches. Acidic and estery aftertaste with malty notes. Reasonable for a Dubbel made outside Belgium.

Bottle, 6.0%. Aroma of dark malts and metal. Cloudy dark brown colour. Ok stable creamy light brown head. The flavour has some brown sugar and a medium bitterness to match. Nutty and roasted notes as well. Thin mouthfeel for the style and a little fruitiness which puts me off a bit, but all in all a decent beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with a neat, orange hue and a smallish, beige head. Sweet chocolate nose - milk chocolate combined with mellow licorice. Medium body, again sweet chocolate and toffee - no Belgian character whatsoever. And no hop presence. More some generic Dark Ale, a Dubbel it is not. 230521
