This Berliner Weisse started its life as a Proto beer: 4 kegs for festivals only, but it was love at first taste! We just had to brew more. The base is tart with loads of lemon juice and lemon peel, but soon the liquorice root and vanilla make themselves known. This beer has everything: sweetness, acidity and saltiness, balanced in a unique blend.

0.33l can. Aroma of lemon, licorice, spices and flowers. Pours hazy amber color with large soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart citrusy with licorice and minty note, following is mild salty and grainy with smooth mouthfeel. Light body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Wow, that’s a mortal combo…

Tap at Brewers Beer Bar Tredje, Götenburg. Opaque orange juice. Sirup, thick, sweet licorice, salty. Taste is lime, vanilla cheesecake, lovely salty, some licorice in the end. Sweet salty sour. This is actually good.

Tap at 100 piv. Full body, medium carbonation. Totally ridiculous very high mouth-puckering level of boring lacto sourness. Paired with shitloads of vanilla, which overpowers everything. Medium sweetness. Medium lemon. Not only not beery at all, and I mean AT ALL. It is also hard to drink and unappetizing. Just bad.
