After the success of Sweet Jesus beer, we reworked the recipe and cooked a light stout, to which we also added lactose to achieve a velvety taste of milk chocolate.

F: medium, light tanned, average retention. C: dark, opaque. A: a lot of chocolate, cocoa, bit coffee, dark bread crust, lactose. T: watery chocolate, cocoa, lactose, dark bread, bit caramel, coffee, nice balanced for the style, light to medium body, lower carbonation, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from beer[malade] shop near Bratislava, Slovakia.

Bottle at U Kun�tátů, pours black with s small tan head. Aroma brings out light metallic notes, with a touch of cocoa and toasted malt. Flavour follows accordingly, with toasted malt, some metallic notes, and light cocoa. A bit too metallic, but it still works pretty well overall. Solid beer.

(Draught at Beer Geek Bar, Prague, 21 April 2018) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and ashes. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, dark chocolate, lactose, burnt sugar and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced stout. Nice one.

In dem atheistischten Land Europas ein Bier zu finden, das einen biblischen Aspekt hat, ist selten. Vielleicht spielt man darauf hin, dass ein Milk Stout nicht nur in Tschechien recht selten ist. Oder man wollte meinen, dass der kleine Jesus dies als Muttermilch bekommen hat. Es ist ein recht guter Vertreter des Bierstils mit den malzig-bitteren Stout-Aromen gepaart mit der Milchsäure. Freunde dieses Bierstils haben sicher ihre Freude mit dem Getränk.

Bottle from Pivný raj This one offers sweet chocolate aroma. Head goes away quite fast. Taste is surprisingly not really sweet, has chocolate and good hop presence but if you are expecting a dessert you will be disappointed.
