On tap at Dispensary, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, intense hops and some earthiness. Flavour is intense, with lots of roasted malt, intense hops, and earthiness. Roasty, hoppy and well-balanced. Very good.

Keg at the kernel tap room. A opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting frothy tan head. Aroma is massive piney hop, earthy toast, charred barrel, some cow pat. Palate is semi sweet, spicy moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of rich dark roasted malts, resinous piney hop, woody bark, firm bitterness, layered roasted malts, little salt. Top notch.

Bottle at the new brewery. Chocolate brown colour with small golden head. Aroma is a touch of spice, little bit of citrus hops, roasty malt, chocolate and coffee, maybe a bit of orange peel in there too. Taste is very roasty, bit of vanilla, some hop bitterness. Nice prickle in the mouth.
