A clear dark golden beer with a white head. Aroma of strong breadish malt, cereals, caramel. Taste of sharp grainy malt, straw, biscuit, honey, moderate dry spicy bitterness.

Bottled@HBF. Deep golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is bready, some toasted notes, caramel and some slight herbal notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some toasted notes, mild caramel, herbs, grass and some mild floral notes too. Smooth and the kind of beer you could just have a glass after another...

Bottle @ Franconia. Pours amber copper with a white head. Caramel, bread and grains. Medium bodied. Quite bitter finish. Drinkable.

Jubeltrunk 1663 der Brauerei Hofmann, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Helles Bronzegold, klar. - In der Nase weich süßliches Malz, überreife Frucht, schwache Kräuterherbe. - Antrunk weich und etwas zu süß karamelmalzig mit Toast, mattem Fallobst und Butterkeks. Gedämpfte krautige Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang hintergründige aber leere Herbe. - Individuell gestaltetes Märzen, schön malzig-süßlich mit feiner Fruchtigkeit (Orange) aber zu wenig herb. Überzeugt nicht ganz.

Flasche(ergattert von MoritzF in Pahres!!!):Deep, deep golden coloured, a bit hazy, small and stable off-white head, bisquity-fruity nose, supported by a delicate spicy-hoppy backbone; medium bodied and soft, light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour; gently increasing lemony hoppimess towards the sweet-caramelly finish.Reasonable franconian quality, hard to find elsewhere in bad old Germany…

(bottle, purchased at the brewery shop) Hazy, deep golden to light-amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly bready caramel-malty aroma with notes of herbal and delicately citric hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, almost medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Slightly biscuity cara-malty taste with herbal and delicately fruity hops; moderately sweet and slightly bitter finish with rounded cara-malty and herbal hoppy counterparts. A decent example of the style. 31.X.13
