Bottled. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbs, grains, some mild biscuity notes. Flavour is biscuits, some grains, herbs and mild toffee tones. Grainy dry aftertaste.

Very hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Crisp semi dry palate. Light pale malt. Minerals and a trace of orange hop. Whisper of honey before the crisp finish. Nice palate but the beer is like fresh air!

From a 330ml bottle on 5/2/2011. After trying their rather insipid Vale Ale, I didn’t expect too much from something they label a lager. It doesn’t look much like a typical lager as it’s slightly cloudy. There’s not too much to smell here - just a little grassiness and malt. Flavour wise, it again doesn’t really come across as a lager, but it’s so subdued it really doesn’t really have any distinguishing character. It’s quite sweet and has a bit or a lemony kick at the end. Another bland, disappointing beer from McLaren Vale.

Bottle. Pours hazy pale straw with a tiny head. Little aroma - a hint of fruitiness. Medium body and carbonation. The flaour is very light without being thin and bland. There’s some crisp tanginess and some subtle maltiness. Overall its refreshing but unexceptional.
