Pours like vegetable oil, with a bit more amber coloure than olive oil. As good as no head. Syrupy nose, cherries on liqueur, some fusels. Syrupy sweet, liquorice, I boerejongens /I (raisins on brandy). There is a very slight exotic fruit estercharacter from the hops. Finish has a slight leafy bitterness, mixed with sultanas. Very slick, sticky, syrupy. Almost no carbonation, feeling thick. Not that bad, but a bit overdone. Txs to Stef!

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen en thuis gedronken. Helder amberkleurig bier met heel weinig schuim wat snel weg trekt. De geur is zoetig en licht fruitig. De smaak is vol, zoet, alkohol-achtig, zoet en fruitig. De nasmaak is bitterzoet.

Chinook, Wakatu, Sabro, Enigma, Motueka and Kohatu hops in this Barleywine. Clear amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Nose of toffee and ripe hop fruits. Light smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet malts, thin creamy malt with good biscuity caramel and a little toffee. Complex ripe fruits, many layers here. Ripe orchard fruits and dark berries. Touch of smooth pine. Finishes smooth with a little salted caramel coming in along with a light and comforting warmth. Super duper. A light but drinkable barleywine with a real depth of flavours.
