Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, notes of red wine, oak, yeast, spicy notes, dried fruits, some red grapes, plum, and a hint of liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Body is medium. Nice vinous barrel imprint on this Quad, good.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Unclear brown color, medium sized tan head. Aroma is malts, raisins and grapes / wine. Flavor is similar but with way more wine influence combined with the usual taste of a quad. Not bad.

2 February 2020. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Hazy dark brown, unstable, frothy, tan head. Aroma of dried banana, raisin, prune, liqueur, port wine, milk chocolate. Taste has sweet banana, apricot & ripe red grape, a tad woody & herbal bitter with fruit cake-like maltiness. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, slightly woody, lingering dried dark fruits & warming port-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Could have had a more refined 'red wine' profile throughout but it adds enough depth for sure.
