Despite Simplex being an ale, it has all the characteristics of an old-styled pils. It is a blond, unfiltered, unpasteurized, hoppy and bitter beer that remains low in alcohol. Resulting in a straw blonde, highly drinkable beer with plenty of flavor and character.
Taste: Refreshing, light and with a firm bitterness

330ml bottle. Cloudy, pale orangey, golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, fruity hoppy and malty aroma, notes of apricot, hints of peach, a spicy yeasty touch, husky overtones. Taste is bitter hoppy, slightly spicy yeasty, fruity and minimally husky, slightly diluted hints of apricot and mirabelle. Refreshing, light and minimally watery, but quite flavourful and nicely dirty.

F: big, white, good retention C: gold, hazy. A: malty, bit orange, spicy, bit green apple, floral, peach, almost bit funky. T: malty, quite bitter on the palate, bit peppery, bread, light fruity, bit citrus, grassy, very nice balanced, refreshing, medium body and carbonation, especially I like the decent long lasting harmonic bitterness, 0,33l bottle from Carrefour market @ Rue des Champs, Brussels.

Tap @Ma Che Siete (Rome). Misty apricot skin pour, medium white foam. Nose is pretty zest, citrus peel, soft-hidden spicy. Mouth is thin, lacks body, citric enough with medium spicy finish.

Pale blond with light haze and lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a touch of yeast and a little tanginess. Really long lasting dry and bitter finish.

Slightly hazy yellow color medium white head. Aroma of black pepper, raw bead, mixed citrus. Taste is lightly bitter peppery summer fruit. Far more flavor than your average kolsch. Is there such a thing as an India style kolsch?
