Despite Simplex being an ale, it has all the characteristics of an old-styled pils. It is a blond, unfiltered, unpasteurized, hoppy and bitter beer that remains low in alcohol. Resulting in a straw blonde, highly drinkable beer with plenty of flavor and character.
Taste: Refreshing, light and with a firm bitterness

Bottle, 4.5%. Good malty and yeasty aroma with a mild bubble gum note. Hazy golden colour. Ok stable white head. The flavour is bitter and yeasty. So yeasty that it reminds me of mediocre homebrew.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Gentle aroma that blends pilsner and golden belgian. Nice appearnce with lasting froffy foam. Taste is an interesting mix of those two styles. Still, wouldn't order another if in a bar.

Bottle, huge thanks Nino and Casey for sharing with us! Hazy golden-yellow body, white head. Hmm... fruitier than expected profile, some cooked fruit touches, but not in a bad way, with very well integrated phenolics and noticeable bitterness. Good stuff!

04-06-21 // 330ml bottle. „This is not a pils“ 😅 - no it’s a blonde belgian ale with some pilsner characteristic. Good one though. Some earthy spicyness. Belgian yeasty. Noble hop bitterness.

33 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 01/2021, BBE 14.01.2023. Rated on 9.5.2021 Aroma has apricot, belgian yeast and grassy hops. Foamy-ish palate. Flavour has some apricot, fruity tones. Finishes with strong grassy hoppiness. A crisp Belgian pale. Not sure if it is a good idea to name a beer according to a virus though.
