With our German Head Brewer and Donzoko’s relentless commitment to the beauty of lager in all its forms, this collaboration could only ever take one form: Helles. Brewed using a traditional German stepped mash AND a decoction mash to extract maximum flavour from our malts, expect beautifully complex notes of lightly caramelised breadcrust. For a distinctly non-traditional twist, we used 25% buckwheat for its unique, nutty flavour.

Cloudy pale yellow beer, creamy white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: yuck, very dirty, smells like sulphur, manure, a bit malty, don’t like it... MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, gentle bitterness. Aftertaste: a bit herbal, sweet malts, grains, meh.
