Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a small, creamy and lacing, beige head. Somewhat greasy and not overly pleasant aroma - slightly rotten fruit. Medium body, some toffee, perhaps marzipan and hard to detect spices (the label reveals which). Lightly bitter finish. 101224

0,5 l bottle from Hol´Ab!, Ahlhorn. BB 26.10.2024. Clear dark red brown in the glass with a more than one finger pale beige head. Looks good. Floral hoppy aroma. Taste starts mid floral hoppy, some sweetness, little bit dry malty and toasted. Mid carbonated. Better than expected.

Leicht süßer, mild herb-gewürziger Beginn. Den genutzten Pflaumensaft kann ich nicht erschmecken, Zimt kommt zum Vorschein. Trocken, mild herb, ok. 9/7/7/7/9/7

0.5 l bottle from local 'Getränke Hoffmann', best before October 2024. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity aroma of plum, caramel and light cinnamon. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, rather herbal-spicy and gently fruity taste of cinnamon, licorice root (fennel?), orange peel, plum, clove and nutmeg, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very interesting experiment from a German macro brewer far off the 'Reinheitsgebot'. Surely not to everyone's liking, would surprise me if this sells well.
