Barley Wine aged in American Whiskey barrels
Paragon is one of if not our most cherished products. We take this one step further by a process of selecting aside the best barrels of the 100’s of them aging in our rackhouse. We spend the time to sample each barrel and judge the quality, a consensus between the barrel managers and brewers is made and these barrels are set aside while we seperate Paragon barrels. This years version is noted a nice balance of sweet and alcohol, with all the characteristics of slight dark chocolate, roasted vanilla, dried fruits, Toffee, and bourbony oak.

Wilde Bottleshare 16 juli 2025. Kleur is behoorlijk donker voor een BW. Aroma is zoetig en umami, salmiak. Smaak volgt dit eigenlijk, zoetig en umami. Volle body. Wil ik nog wel eens uitgebreid proberen, maar dan niet helemaal aan het einde van een bottleshare.

KYGG 231124. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is alcohol, whiskey, roasted malt, chocolate. Flavor is alcohol, whiskey, roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, dried fruit, licorice, oak , vanilla. Powerful beer.

Bottle, 75cl. It's a dark brown beer with a small light tan head. Kinda oily. Roasted malts, dark chocolate notes, toffee, dark dried fruit and some alcohol in the aroma. Oak and some vanilla. It's full-bodied and warming, with a gentle carbonation. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some licorice in the flavor. Some dark berries and oak. Lasting finish. A bit dull, but in a weird way kinda lacking on complexity. Like it though. 241123

Bottle 750ml @ gunnfryd. Pours dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, oak, vanilla, dried fruity and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, caramel, oak, vanilla and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2024 (MBCC Red Session) 11/05/2024 Toasted and sweet malty with lots of dried fruit shred, spices, toffee and caramel and fudge like sweetness, full bodied, barrel aged whisky hit into the warming malty finish.
