More than 2 years ago we began brewing in anticipation of this day, focusing on a blended Barleywine for this release and showcasing a truly special beer, M.J.K. in a new light. This beer consists of single and double barrel-aged M.J.K. finished for 18 to 27 months in Willett Family Estate Bourbon Barrels. A thoughtful splash of Längst reigns in the intensity and finishes the character of this special blend of deep, rich, luxurious English Barleywines.

Had this a lot and just never bother to rate it. Had it fresh upon release and most recently on 1/19/25.
This is right up there with MJK (it basically is MJK) and well worth the hype and pricetag, imo. Rich, but well-developed toffee, bourbon, vanilla and light raisin. Chewy-to-syrupy, tending on the sweeter side but with excellent barrel/bourbon to balance. No alcohol. Masterfully blended and aged.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with no head. The aroma is intense toffee, vanilla, dark fruit, bourbon. Slick body, toffee, dates, raisin, prune, bourbon, wood, cloying sweetness, impressive.
