A Premium Extra Pale Lager. Using a time-honored recipe with only the finest malted barley and blend of hops, Rolling Rock is a classic American lager that is as well-known for its distinctive, full-bodied taste as it is for its craftsmanship, heritage and green bottle. Full-flavored, with a subtle bite. Light-to-medium body and color. Brewed with only the choicest ingredients; a perfect blend of pale barley malt, rice and corn.

Skunky aroma, skunky taste, skunky finish. A skunky beer that wasn’t worth the time to write this review.

Used to be one of my go to beers, a long time ago. Pours out very light golden, zero head, minimal carbonation. Looks flat. Faint corn/cereal aroma, sweet adjunct grain taste, watery mildly sweet finish.

Super pale lager, with a loose snow white head an pale blonde colour; off-putting aroma of sweet grains including both corn and rice, of which the first one especially bothers me in this type of beer. Bland taste with medium carbo, slick, watery, sweetish with again corn and rice, but not much else and nothing noteworthy happening in the finish - if it even has one. Terrible - I even enjoyed Miller Genuine Draft more than this.

Bottle in Sally’s Pizza in New Haven. I remember liking this enough as a youngster. Not any more. Diacetyl, corn, and ass. Sweet buttery biscuits made of weird grains and no detectable hops. Terrible. Makes Japanese happoshu taste great.

Well, I grew up in PA and remember when my Dad raved about how great this used to be before Latrobe sold out. Funny, how I’m only getting to this now, sigh, ah, oh well.
Anyways, here’s my notes.
Its been poured in pint glasses and pilseners.
The appearance was a super light yellow color with a rapidly dissipating one finger white foamy head that left barely any lacing.
The smell has always been super skunky and bland.
The taste was exactly the same.
The palate, well, if anything, its exceptionally light, ,and ya know how sessionable this one can be.
Overall, this is one of those definitions of Light Lagers taken over by InBev.
I wish I had it when my Dad had it and what this originally was meant to be. Good job InBev for screwing this up.
