Karanska 9 is a light, bottom fermented beer made by the classic recipe. We brewed it with our trusted ingredients and methods. We used only Czech hops (Saaz and Sládek), combined pilsner and munchen malt and mash process. That all makes Karanska 9 a balanced, tasty and distinctive beer. It has mild zest, light yellow colour and balanced bitterness. A lower wort level gives it light body and makes it very easy to drink. It’s alcohol content is 3,9%.

Pours pale golden with the slightest bit of haziness. Average sized white head, quite frothy; good enough retention and some lacing. Nicely fresh and vivid aroma: delicate maltiness on the back of things with hay and cerealy hints, perhaps a hint of chamomille; vivid hoppiness with grassy, almost lymphatic notes (trying to find something that suggests very green), fresh cedary fruitiness, lighter floral notes. Taste notes follow the aroma: quite good vividness/freshness (perhaps a bit less than the aroma suggested) and good definition. Cedar-like fruitiness feels slightly juicy. Quite light sweetness with just a tad more bitterness (though still overall moderate). Balanced in the mouth, the slightest bitter edge in a floral hops, semi-dry aftertaste. Quite light in body as obvious, with average carbonation making it quite lively; easily quaffable as a vycepni should be, but perhaps a tad heavier than i expected for the abv. Overall another precise and well made svetly from vinohradsky; a pleasant lighter addition to their portfolio.

500ml Can - Golden yellow with a foamy white head. Grass, white bread and some hints of lime in the aroma. Floral and relatively hoppy taste with hints of white bread, lime and some sweet malty notes.

Keg at brewpub, Prague. A light, slightly floral lager that was too easy to drink. Almost pale ale appearance. Loved it. Need to return here and rate properly.

Burk från Kihoskh. Disig ljusgul vätska med medelhögt vitt skum. Lätt, torr, krispig med dammig säd, blommig hö och en rejäl gräsig beska. Lätt på gränsen till tunn men fin smakbil. Trevlig

mild sweet and crisp lager aroma, a little bit of carboard, but still a lovely and enticing aroma. very slightly fruity. flavor is a bit watery, lager malty, okay euro hoppy bitterness. Fairly well tasting but feels watered down, even though it probably isn't. easy drinking but maybe a tiny bit too sweet to be drunk in huge quantities.
