The Hanseatic. His reliability was highly valued. Without him there would have been no beer made from hops and malt, simply because without him these ingredients would have been lacking in the port. Thank you Hanseat, for your deeds! This Hansebock with wheat malt with the taste of black pepper and orange peel is for you! The Barbarossa I am Hansebock is a limited edition barrel aged craft beer. It aged in white wine barrels and is infused with black pepper and orange peels. It has an ABV of 8%. A tribute to the hard working Hanseatic people, cheers to you!

Sample, thanks fonefan! Almost clear deep golden, small head. Orangey nose with white wine honey and pepper. Sweet with fairly light body and clean mouthfeel. Black pepper in white wine and and honey. Low bitterness. Really weird.

(thanks fonefan!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is tart fruits, some sweet malts, mild zesty, and some strange elements. Flavour is coriander, rosemary, some malty and mild floral tones.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, dark yellow-ish to orange, golden colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Woody aroma, hints of oak, widely disguised, somewhat neutral, malty background. Taste is rather neutral, pale malty with subtle residual sweetness, woody and minimally fruity, notes of oak, a touch of grape sugar, orange peel. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, very fine, soft, creamy carbonation. Smooth and mild, mellow - nice, nothing spectacular.
