On keg at Old Poet's Corner, Ashover - Jet black body, thin tan head. Usual dusty roasted notes, slightly bitter, just a bit on the thin side.

On tap at Deva Tap, Chester. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a medium sized foamy cream head and good lacing. The aroma is indistinct but is basically roasted malts. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with roasted malts and cola plus hints of honey and vanilla. A little bitterness in the finish. Well it’s OK, but rather bland to say the least.

Keg at the Sheffield Tap. Pours near-black with a thin beige head. Aromas of roasted malt and light coffee. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish.

Half-pint in the BOD, Newport Shropshire on 22nd February 2024. Exceedingly cold pour, black bodied with a tanned foam top. Bitter dry malty taste, too cold to have any aroma. Smooth and slick, decent.
