DESCRIPTION
Waterloo Cuvée Impériale is brewed with special malts to bring out a rich, silky chocolate character. The brewers then took advantage of the empty casks of the Waterloo whiskies for almost 1 year to allow it to continue maturing. This allows the flavours of the wood, vanilla and the whisky present in the wood to penetrate the beer.
AROMAS
Chocolate notes dominate the nose, followed by vanilla, oak and a touch of toasted wood that enriches the taste experience. The long finish features hints of liquorice and subtle caramel, accompanied by alcoholic warmth.

Absolutely deepest ruby-brown - if clear! - beer under a small ivory head, nice looking. Sweetened and half-spoiled milk, Babeure , decaying red grapes, brown candi sugar. Again brown sugar, the grapes turned to raisins, again diary. Quite sweet indeed, milk chocolate. Where might the whisky be? Light alcoholburn. Very slick to chewy. Medium to well-carbonated. Nose is awful. Rest is... too easy. For our Walloon friends: le ramage ne vaut pas le plumage. Txs to Stef!

75cl bottle from Cora in Brussels. F: medium, tan, quick gone. C: dark coppery to brown, light hazy. A: rich dark malts, chocolate, woody, vinous, caramel, berries, whisky, bit cocoa. T: full malty base, light chocolate, woody, cocoa, bit vinous, berries, whisky touch, spicy, caramel, bit weak bitterness for me, not so complex as it should be still good for the style, enjoyed.
