200ml draught at Mikkeller CPH. Opaque, near-black body, spotty lacing at the upper part of the glass. Shiny naked surface. Aroma of dark berry skins, mid-sweet. Rather powerful taste profile of blueberries, dough and lactose, could not spot the coffee part. Smooth, lingering end of blueberries, not overly sweet. Fine bodied. Likable. Bought an extra can for my beer cellar. (Kastrup Airport 26.11.2018).

Something very different for me. Lactos, and a big hit of blueberries

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - deep black with a big frothy fawn head almost resembling a tirimasu. Nose - coffee biscuits. Some molasses. Taste - ah blueberry just arrived. Then the coffee and Bourbon creams arrive straight after. Palate - creamy medium bodied. Lingering dry but rich finish. Overall - well conceived and executed. Coffee well integrated so not single dimensional.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A/29A/16B). Can 50 cl - Batch VF2149 (BBF 12/09/19). AROMA: medium-high roasted aroma with notes of coffee and roasted malt, with a sweet background. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. medium brown head, creamy, with good retention. lace formation. viscosity aparente. TASTE: initial sweetness with medium roasted flavor (coffee, roasted malt - dark chocolate) with a low fruity-like note. balanced medium bitterness. finishes almost dry and slightly bitter from roasted grains. PALATE: full body and creamy with a velvety texture. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a very interesting lacto-oatmeal stout with added fruit altought its only slightly detected on the flavor and not on the aroma.
