I got turned onto the Dortmunder Export style while working my way through "Brewing Classic Styles" by Jamil Zainascheff & John Palmer a few years ago. Researching the style, I found "Tasty" Mike McDole’s Recipe on homebrewtalk.com and I just plain fell in love with this beer. I brewed his recipie many many times as a homebrewer and then tweaked it for my tastes and I’m so happy to share it with you all. Crisp and Dry, Malty and Hoppy, its just a classic balanced lager.

Sampled at the brewery. Shows clear thin dark yellow body. The aroma is honey, cereal grain, yeast.
Flavor is honey like grain, mild yeast hint toward the finish. Very light body, damn near watery texture, lively carbonation. Clean, easy to drink
