This Imperial IPA is brewed with decent amount of citrusy hops (and homegrown hops for 2020 batch) and carefully handpicked spruceshoots. Inspired by Kalamaja. Terviseks!/Cheers!

Tap. Golden, foggy, white foam. Aroma: sweet fruit and a wagon of spruce needles. Taste: very fruity at first, mango + a lot of resinous spruce, resin, bitter, interesting.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 010 - BB 25.09.2018, from Õllepood No 2 Gambrinus, Pärnu, 20180712) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, spruce needles and resin. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spruce needles, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had needles and bitterness. A brew dominated heavily by the spruce sprouts. Still surprisingly drinkable.

Tap at Koht. Amber colour, small steady white head. Aroma has fruits, spruce and spices. Medium-bodied. Flavour is similar. Marmalade, spices, citrus and spruce. Hides alcohol but too gimmicky ipa.

Bottle. Brown-orange, hazy, with lace. Huge pine / spruce nose, caramel, rich malts. Great fruit flavor, lots of spruce, chocolate, caramel, but strawberry flavor as well. This is a really fun beer. Super fresh and resiny and the spruce really works imo.

Tap at Koht. Pours amber, some white foam on top. Aroma has deep, wet and swollen spruce, not too resiny but feels somewhat heavy. Taste that follows has some citrus, some spruce resin and spruce needles. I don't know, for me it sort of feels heavy and hard, not that easy to drink. Flavour itself is not unpleasant, just not sure if this spruce is really contributing or maybe making it too hard for me to drink.

On tap at Koht, Tallinn. Slightly hazy amber with a dense, off-white head. Fruity aroma dominated by citrus with some herbal and slightly piney notes too and hints of malt and caramel. Medium sweet with fairly mild hoppy flavours and ditto bitterness. Seems quite balanced with well integrated alcohol and a high drinkability.
