500ml bottle pours out amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is sweet caramel malts some spice and bourbon barrel. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts pitfruit and that bourbon barrel.

500ml bottle at share. Amber pour, cloudy, small bubbly head. Malty aroma, toffee. Taste is warm and malty, bread dough, minor boozy notes. Very smooth.

On tap at Crux, pours a fairly clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is rich, with caramel, toffee, some apple juice, and light vinous character. Flavour is odd — there's a strange celery-like character going on that isn't all that great. Beyond that, there's toffee, vanilla, caramel and wood—though not exactly getting wine. Good but a bit flawed and not sure the execution worked all that well.
