Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a tan smear. Aroma of maple with a vanilla note. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is heat, maple, vanilla, burnt/toasted malt and some astringent wood. Not dry. Bitter, but likely from heat and burnt malt. Rather good.

12 oz. can. 2023 vintage. Aroma of oak and maple syrup. Flavor is lasting bourbon, Belgian chocolate, oak. Soft maple. A little bit of booze after the swallow. Surprisingly enough it doesn’t get too sweet. But it’s also kind of boozy. All considered, nice.

12oz can from Tavour. Side by side tasting with the Hazelnut Latte. Dark brown pour with a ring of beige head. Sweet maple aroma greets the nose from a distance. Taste is super sweet, maple first, then vanilla. A bit of burn follows the sugary sweetness. The base stout is almost completely subservient to the sweet maple. However, I like this a touch more than the Hazelnut Latte. Both have their own qualities.

At first it was an overwhelming amount of maple, like almost too much, but with some air it's gorgeous, the vanilla comes up and mellows perfectly with the maple, decadence.
