Can at home. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is caramel, stewed fruit, berries, red grape, vanilla, toffee, taste is similar, rich, sweet, fruity, lots of barrel in the finish.

Dark brown wirh a large foamy brown head. Whiskey, caramel, molasses, toasty malt, and dark fruit. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.

12 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany brown with a very small beige head. Nose is dominated by dark dried red fruits and wood, followed by caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is rich and integrated, with boozy whiskey barrels, dark dried red fruits, wood, caramel, toffee, and bready malt. Those barrels accentuate the dried fruit and toffee characters really well, while still retaining the base beer's authentic doppelbock-like character. Excellent.

Can from Johns. Pours a dark brown hue with a medium beige head that goes down a lot. A big sweet nose, cocoa and brown sugar. Big whiskey, sweet brown sugar, cocoa, caramel, sugary. Very nice.

Can. Pours clear chestnut, small tan head, good lacing. Malty Aroma, dark sugars, whiskey, cherry. Oak, toffee, leather. Flavor is merlin sweet, light bitter, hugely malty. Medium plus body, silky. Nice.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, a few bubbles, then flat. Aroma is sweet, nutty, woody, boozy. Taste is raisins, currants, brown sugar, light whiskey notes. Feels pretty strong at 9.3%.

Can from Tavour. Pours very dark mahogany/brown with a transient tan head. Aroma is roasty/toffee with dark fruit which could be cherry. Med plus body. Flavor is roasty/toffee and medium dark fruit - which could include cherry. Not dry. Bitterness from malt/whiskey and wood. Smooth, soothing and amazingly tasty. Supercala.....
