Czech-Style Dark Lager is wonderfully complex, delivering notes of toffee and dates, with a kiss of roasted malts and milk chocolate. It’s brewed in the spirit of Prague’s 500-year lager tradition, inviting us all to party like it’s 1499. Pairs smartly with roasted meats, rustic veggie dishes and a bit of Euro cool.

Malt: Weyermann Floor-Malted Bohemian Dark, Gambrinus Pilsner, Sladovny Pilsen, Carafa II, Cara Amber
Hops: Perle, Saaz
Yeast: Lager

Pint Can. Pours a translucent roan brown color with a big sudsy beige head that has fair retention and lacing. The aroma is sweet malts and a bit of peppery herbs. The taste features malts, colas, and some pecans. The palate is clean and crisp with lively carbonation. Finishes somewhat short and dry. Overall: Decent brewski.

On tap at Aslan Depot, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma smells on point, with toasted nuts,m and bready malt. Flavour is crisp and malty, with lots of bready malt, toasted nuts, and a hint of light caramel sweetness. Dry, bready and nutty. Very well-made for what it is.

Date bits make it rather sweet for a Tmavy. Malt forward body with toasty notes. More sweet with the hops in the finish. From a friend's growler.
