Fairly hazy golden and light copper coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of flowers, grapefruit, light resin and a dash of subtle tropical fruits, all with some alcohol and astringency noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong floral bite at first with a nice balance of malt along with some pleasant fruit-based sugars and a smooth, yet bitter hop profile that shows the resinous and floral characteristics nicely and ends well with some alcohol showing through at the finish. Aftertaste shows the alcohol and burn throughout, but the sugars from the finish help out the bitterness and the malts provide enough support throughout to make this very rich and complex, yet not really showing the 8,0% abv that is supposedly is. Overall, a nice and enjoyable IPA that borders with imperial status and shows more of a 'traditional' East Coast IPA than a New England or Imperial IPA for sure, but regardless, is very nice. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 11-November-2019 for US$6,00.

Can. Hazy yellow with a nice white head. Juicy citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor. Good balance of sweetness and bitterness, doesn't have that thick heavy cloying sweet flavor some IIPAs have. I'll have another.
