Bottled@HBF2017. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some roasted notes as well as some ripe fruits. Flavour is quite similar, with the roast being quite evident.

Draught @ HBF 2017 [ Helsinki Beer Festival 2017 ], Kaapelitehdas, Talberginkatu 1, Helsinki, Finland. [ As Pyynikin Diablo Thorium Black ].Clear dark red - black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate - coffee, dark fruit, raisin, prune, light soy sauce. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, raisin, prune, dark malt, dark fruit, roasted - coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170408] 7-3-7-3-14

Sample from the bottle at HBF 2017, Helsinki. Thanks to FatPhil! Colour us clear dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Dark chocolate, chocolate, cocoa and roasted malts. Pretty good.

33cl bottle @ hbf 2017. Poured near black with a thin brown head. Roasted malts, some coffee some licorice. Flavor has malts, roast, hops, coffee. Light bodied.

(Keg at Bier-Bier, 20170215) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee with milk, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, ashy and bitter. A decent stout with coffee notes.
